Professional Experience

  • 2022 – Current Administrative Affairs Coordinator Performing Arts, School of the Arts, Virginia Commonwealth University
    • Perform routine upkeep of departmental pages on the VCUArts website, developing recruitment materials, and media support. Maintain and populate the calendar of events with departmental activities. Create and edit press releases, concert programs, brochures, posters and other print and digital materials through the Adobe Creative Suite and Canva.
    • Ensure quality customer service by monitoring departmental communication outlets including social media and email. Effectively communicate program and degree offerings, audition and application processes, and assisting with general inquiries.
    • Routinely serve as project manager on cross-departmental projects such as overseeing a BVA by collaborating with University departments including Enterprise & Marketing, Purchasing, IT Governance and Treasury Services. Serve as the Department Record Coordinator for all document retention processes, including storage and destruction.  
  • 2019-2022 Graduate Administrator for Membership Services Department of Recreation & Well-Being, Virginia Commonwealth University
    • Oversee a team of 10 students and assist with the membership sales process. 
    • Oversee the daily tracking of sales to produce a monthly sales report ranging from ~$20,000 to $60,000.

University Service

  • 2024 – Current Senator Staff Senate, Virginia Commonwealth University
    • Attend monthly meetings of the Staff Senate and report any relevant updates back to the School of the Arts.
    • Serve on the Awards & Recognition subcommittee and help plan the annual Staff Senate Excellence Awards.
  • 2023 – Current Vice-Chair School of the Arts Staff Advisory Committee, Virginia Commonwealth University 
    • Assist with hosting the department informational sessions as a part of the University Open House
  • 2021-2022 Delegate for the College of Humanities and Sciences Graduate and Professional Student Senate, Virginia Commonwealth University
    • Attend bi-monthly meetings and serve on the Bylaws and Constitution subcommittee to assist with the separation of the Graduate and Undergraduate Senates. 
  • 2019-2022 Chair Student Development Committee, Department of Recreational Sports, Virginia Commonwealth University
    • Schedule bi-monthly meetings, have information prepared on the status of several subcommittees, and oversee budget processes.
    • Develop an employee of the month program and assist with the planning of several spirit events. 
  • 2016-2018 Student Advisory Council Member VCU Department of Photography and Filmmaking Student Advisory Council, Virginia Commonwealth University
    • Attend monthly meetings to discuss student satisfaction within the PhotoFilm program

Teaching Experience

  • 2018-2019 Teaching Assistant Department of Photography and Filmmaking, Virginia Commonwealth University
    • Assisted with the instruction of two sections of Moving Pixels, which included the basic foundations of film production and editing.
    • Prepared materials in advance of class, including but not limited to scanning, uploading files, and preparing videos. 
  • 2018 Teaching Assistant VCU Arts Summer Intensive
    • Assisted with the instruction of the three week intensive Digital Filmmaking course that met eight hours a day for five days a week.
    • Created lesson plans and assignments, monitored student equipment usage, and provided basic creative direction. 
  • 2016-2017 Teaching Assistant Department of Focused Inquiry, Virginia Commonwealth University 
    • Assisted with development and implementation of lesson plans. Oversaw production of several group research projects.
